Celebrate Valentine’s Day the Veg Way!

Christa Shelton by on Fri, Feb 10th, 2012

Well, the big V-day is right around the corner!  Some of you are already decked out in pink and red counting down the minutes to celebrate, while some of you would rather strangle yourself with the string of a Valentine’s Day balloon than give in to the heart-themed holiday. I happen to fall somewhere in the middle of the two, however leaning a little more to the pink and red side of things ;-) .

All in all, I would say I have a healthy outlook on the day set aside for showing extra love.  Whether you are one half of two or a party of one, if you do choose to celebrate there are many veg-friendly ways to do so!  Try some new mouth-watering recipes like savory California Nori Rolls or something sweet like a Chocolate Raspberry Linzer Tart.

Don’t feel like cooking or baking? Head to your local veg-friendly grocery store, bakery or restaurant and let them do the work for you!  Most places have great V-day deals and goodies for you to share (or not) for the holiday!  If you’re looking for some cruelty-free gift ideas, Vegan Cuts hooks you up with several deals you can take advantage of and you can check them out here! Finally, if you’re looking into the sexier side of things for the day, I guarantee the Sensual Vegan has you covered.

So, however you decide to spend the day, you can rest assured there is a veg-friendly way out there to do it! Sending you much love, hugs and kisses on V-Day and beyond!
